Personal Training for Pain Management

My passion in personal training is helping people move more efficiently, specifically helping people escape chronic pain they have come to live with and think they will have to live with forever. Without a solid foundation, our bodies are more likely to get injured and less able to move about the world.

The positions and movements of our bodies throughout the day affect how we feel and function. When we spend extended periods of time in the same position or doing the same movements repetitively our muscles adapt to favor these positions and movements, becoming less able to do other movements and positions. This limited mobility and/or flexibility can lead to pain and injury.

 

This service identifies how the body has adapted and develops a plan to retrain the body’s movements and counteract chronic pain.

 

Who it’s for

Personal Training for Pain Management is for individuals that are limited by chronic pain due to muscle tightness from everyday living or past injuries. This service can both resolve your pain and progress you toward your fitness goals.

How it works

  • First, schedule a free initial consultation to discuss what you are looking to work on, schedule, and pricing.

  • If personal training for pain management is right for you, we’ll conduct a movement analysis to study your movement patterns and begin to explore techniques to manage your pain and improve movement efficiency.

  • We will then incorporate these techniques into an at home prescription you can follow on your own schedule, or into subsequent one-on-one personal training sessions together.

    If desired, we can blend in work toward other fitness goals you have as well!

  • To measure progress, we will conduct following movement analyses and refine your prescription as needed.
